Baby Steps

Once you understand that you have been damaged, once you understand how it happened and why current events are triggering old reactions, it seems it would be easy to let it all go and start again.

But of course, it’s not. You’ve spent a lifetime learning this way of being. It takes time to dismantle and rebuild.

Like Nellie, I just wanted to say that so much of what you’re saying resonates with me at the moment Louise. Thank you for sharing your journey. I want to write on my own blog but can’t find the words just now, so I’m really grateful to read yours and see how your wonderful self portraits are carrying you along. I hope it helps you a little too, to know you’re not walking this road alone.
