Let’s face it, that’s how we move through most of our lives. Blind.
And yet when it comes to painting or drawing, many people believe we should translate exactly what we see. Which is what? We’re blind!
At least when I set out to draw blind I KNOW I’m not seeing.
And yet in a weird way I am … because every one of my blind drawings has a power and honesty that the more accurate portraits lack.
This one was done with dip pen and acrylic ink, plus a little watercolour.
